Alumnae Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta
We participated in the Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure. The breast cancer cause is one that is very close to our hearts and we are proud to be working together to raise funds in support of it. The CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada’s largest single-day, volunteer-led fundraising event dedicated to raising funds for breast cancer research, education, and advocacy initiatives.
Every year our Vancouver chapter gets together to create hampers for single mothers and their families to help spread the Christmas cheer! We annually rise to the occasion and support single mothers from Monarch Place (an organization that provides emergency and 2nd stage housing to women and their children fleeing from family violence) and local single mothers that are nominated by local Vancouver Thetas.
Founded in 1960, Kappa Alpha Theta Foundation is a charitable and educational tax-exempt organization.Theta Foundation’s mission is to secure and manage resources for the educational, leadership, and philanthropic programs of the Fraternity and for the scholastic, professional, and service pursuits of its members to help them reach their fullest potential and make a difference in the world.
